About
Originally from Washingtonville, Dennis C. Abrams grew up in Orange County, NY and maintains strong ties to our local community. Dennis graduated magna cum laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics. Thereafter, he graduated from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law with a Juris Doctorate in 2015.
After graduation, Dennis began his career as an Associate Attorney conducting legal research and writing with the local law firm of Gary Greenwald & Partners, P.C., located in Chester, NY. Mr. Abrams next step in his career was to accept a position with Legal Services of the Hudson Valley to further hone his stellar legal research and writing skills. Mr. Abrams first exposure to litigation came in 2017 when he was hired as an Associate Attorney by the Law Office of Benjamin Greenwald, based in New Windsor, NY. At Greenwald’s Office Mr. Abrams handled all aspects of litigation day in and day out, in Family and Justice Courts, in each and all of the surrounding counties. It was then that Dennis knew he was suited for the courtroom. As if by fate, in 2018 Mr. Abrams seized upon an opportunity to take on the role of Agency Attorney with the New York City Administration for Children’s Services (ACS). This position afforded Dennis the chance to help protect the most vulnerable members of our community, while gaining invaluable experience as a litigator. After prosecuting hundreds of child neglect and abuse cases for ACS in Bronx Family Court for over 3 years, Mr. Abrams had achieved a major milestone in his career. He was now an experienced trial attorney. At this point in his legal career Dennis knew it was time to return to the place he has always called home, the Hudson Valley.
In early 2021, Dennis joined our team of dedicated professionals at the Law Office of Dennis R. Vetrano, Jr., LLC as a Litigation Associate, and since then has been representing Divorce and Family law clients in each and all of the surrounding counties including, but not limited to, the following: Westchester, Putnam, Orange, Dutchess and Ulster. Mr. Abrams has handled every phase of litigation from initial consultation up through, and including, trial. Dennis takes an extremely technical and analytical approach to the practice of law. He does this because he knows that when the most important things in your life are hanging in the balance even the smallest detail matters!
